Election official expecting huge turnout Tuesday
PASCAGOULA, Mississippi — By the end of last week, about 350 electronic voting machines had been painstakingly tested and most had been placed in the 30 or so precincts in Jackson County in preparation for the Tuesday primary election, according to District 1 Election Commissioner Danny Glaskox.
Today, about 100 or so machines will be set up in precincts such as churches which couldn’t be accessed over the weekend, he said.
“We’ve had these machines for five or six years now, so we’re pretty well prepared,” Glaskox said.
