House Education Committee Chair Cecil Brown, D-Jackson, has officially entered the race for speaker.
Brown, a key member of outgoing Speaker Billy McCoy’s leadership team, sent out a letter to members saying “I will be a candidate for speaker of the House for the upcoming legislative term.”
