Luckett and DuPree Support Obamacare

At a Democratic gubernatorial debate from Ole Miss last night, candidates Johnny DuPree and Bill Luckett both expressed their support for the new federal healthcare legislation according to an article in the Daily Journal.

From what I have seen, support for this legislation certainly hasn’t been a major issue on the campaign nor does it seem to be central to their platform. But whatever statements they made last night in support of it will provide more than enough fodder for the winner’s Republican opponent in the general election. Of course, to get there you have to first win a primary where you will see a majority-black electorate that strongly favors the new law.
