HEWES TO MAKE SEVERAL STOPS IN TUPELO TODAY
July 7, 2011–Candidate for Lt. Governor Billy Hewes will make several stops in the Tupelo area today ending with the opening of the Hewes Campaign Lee County Headquarters this afternoon.
“I am excited to have a full day set aside to visit with the people of Tupelo,” said Hewes. “My family and my staff have been warmly welcomed here.
Tupelo is a very important hub of North Mississippi’s economy. I have had the privilege of helping attract economic development projects to the area as President Pro Tempore of the State Senate, and I look forward to hearing from business owners about what I can do as Lt. Governor to continue helping them bring jobs to the area. I am also looking forward to visiting with the staff of the North Mississippi Hospital and seeing the good work they do. Mental Health funding is an issue facing Mississippi that we must have the courage to deal with in the near future.”
