A couple notes on the 2011 elections…

** Lucien Smith is set to release his first campaign ad of the election cycle. You can view it here.

A couple points on the ad: It will go up today, and I was told this is likely the earliest a treasurer candidate has ever gone on the air. The ad was produced by Stuart Stevens, who does media for the likes of Haley Barbour and Roger Wicker.

** Phil Bryant received the backing of the Mississippi Police Benevolent Association, along with other law enforcement leaders, during a news conference at the state capitol yesterday.
