Nesbit man qualifies as candidate for state senate against Davis
NESBIT – Chris Massey of Nestbit went to Jackson Wednesday to qualify with the Republican Party as a candidate in the District 1 Mississippi Senate race, pitting him against incumbent Doug Davis who was previously unopposed.
“We have signed the statement of intent and are good to go,” Massey said over the phone as he drove back from Jackson Wednesday morning. “We’re ready to hit the ground running.”
Massey is the president of the Mississippi Homebuilders Association and has used his position as a platform to work with state legislators on policies that affect homebuilders.
