No special session for redistricting, Barbour says
Burton said he and Reynolds met even as the federal judges considered the case, attempting to hash out an agreement.
“There’s not that much work to be done,” he said.
Reynolds noted that the House has passed its plan three times, and the Senate approved its plan.
Burton said concessions have been made that both sides should be able to accept.
“We haven’t had a chance to offer these maps and negotiate on them,” he said. “We can only do that if we are called in for a special session.”
