DuPree visits Holly Springs on campaign stop
Hattiesburg Mayor Johnny DuPree was guest speaker at the Holly Springs Rotary Club recently. He was invited to speak by Rotarian Edward Moses.
DuPree is making a bid in the Mississippi governor’s race this year, after serving 23 years in public service – first as alderman of the city of Hattiesburg, then as a member of the Greene County Board of Supervisors and as elected mayor of Hattiesburg since 2001.
He also served as a school board trustee.
DuPree, who had several speaking engagements in the Holly Springs area, said he feels prepared for the number one spot in Mississippi.
