Zach Scruggs wants Norman off prosecution team
Filed this morning, his motion states that Norman “has volunteered himself” as a material witness in the case, and that Mississippi professional conduct rules prohibit such a witness from being counsel in the litigation.
Scruggs of Oxford also says he’s informed Norman about this problem in a letter, “hoping that he would act voluntarily.” But Norman reportedly has not responded to the letter or informed the court of his withdrawal.
Thus, Scruggs’ motion says, Norman should be disqualified as an attorney in the matter.
