CL – No reason not to finish redistricting
For weeks, Mississippians have been observing all of the political intrigue over redistricing. People can debate one plan over the other or can blame any number of people, parties or special interests.
However, there is only one crystal clear conclusion: There is no legitimate reason for the Mississippi Legislature to adjourn without completing redistricting.
Special committees have been working on plans since last year. When the final numbers were provided, plans were submitted for the membership.
