Nunnelee to hold DeSoto town hall meeting
Pledging availability to the voters in the aftermath of last month’s shooting of U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz., U.S. Rep. Alan Nunnelee will host his first town hall meeting at the DeSoto County Courthouse in Hernando from 6 to 7 p.m. next Tuesday.
He also plans to open a constituent office soon in the city.
“My goal is to be to be accessible to my constituents,” said Nunnelee, R-Miss., a former state senator from Tupelo who defeated First District incumbent Democrat Travis Childers last fall.
