White Not Stepping Down At This Time
Mississippi GOP Chairman Brad White shot down rumors that he may be vacating his post as he runs for chancery clerk in his native Simpson county. Both on the Gallo show this morning and in AP reports, White said he is planning to stay on as chairman while acknowledging the time may come to step aside. He was confident in the party’s ability moving forward with a replacement.
** White also said the biggest surprise we will see in the coming months will likely be at the county level; for county offices such as sheriff, district attorney, supervisors, chancery clerk, etc. He predicted we will see many Democrats qualify as Republicans. Remember, county office holders still have a March 1 qualifying deadline so that is less than two months away.
