Big Party switch today in Miss., GOP to announce
The Mississippi GOP ended speculation about an upcoming party-switch today with a press release announcing a “big switch” tomorrow. According to the release, the GOP “will welcome a major Democratic state elected official to the Republican Party” during a 1 p.m. press conference.
While Jeff Smith had talked about a House member changing parties, from reading the presser it looks like this will be for someone other than a member of the legislature…although I’ve certainly been wrong before.
