Wicker fears DADT will be forced through
A Mississippi senator who has fought against efforts by Democrats to break a GOP filibuster of the controversial Defense Authorization Bill is very concerned that some of his fellow Republicans may go wobbly and hand Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid a victory.
The Defense Authorization Bill contains an amendment to repeal the law known as Section 654 Title 10, which says homosexuals are not eligible for military service but has often been confused with Bill Clinton’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy.
