According to an article in Gulf Live, Billy Hewes spoke at a recent meeting in Biloxi and mapped out part of his primary election strategy for 2011. Hewes, of course, is a lieutenant governor candidate and will most likely be facing off against Treasurer Tate Reeves.
Reeves is from Rankin county, a huge bastion of GOP primary votes, and has twice been elected statewide giving him far superior name recognition at the moment. As for Hewes, he is from Gulfport, and the Coast certainly has its fair share of primary votes.
