WASHINGTON — Congressman-elect Alan Nunnelee, in Washington for freshman orientation, said Tuesday that it has been exciting to see more than 80 new House Republicans, calling them “the face of the tidal wave that swept America” two weeks ago.
The former state senator from Tupelo, in an interview in the Cannon House Office Building, vowed to maintain a district office in DeSoto County and to reverse policy trends of the past two years.
He noted that the head of his transition team, Diane Hawks, is from DeSoto County.
