UF and John Bond: Urban Meyer not behind Cam Newton leak
A University of Florida spokesman said Saturday reports that coach Urban Meyer was involved in a conference call with Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen and former MSU quarterback John Bond regarding alleged recruiting violations regarding Cam Newton are false.
In addition, Bond told an Atlanta radio show — the Buck and Kincade Show — on Friday that Meyer did not urge him to go to the media with his claim that former MSU player Kenny Rogers called him seeking money for Newton to sign with the bulldogs.
