Nothing has really changed for Auburn. Winning out, including winning the SEC championship game, would almost certainly put the Tigers in the BCS National Championship Game.
However, Alabama’s loss to LSU last weekend doesn’t necessarily help Auburn.
Ideally, Auburn wanted Alabama to be sitting there at 10-1 when they met on Nov. 26 in Tuscaloosa, so that Auburn would get maximum credit for beating a top 10 or even a top 5 team in the BCS standings that late in the season.
