BCS standings get another shakeup

Now it’s official: The 2010 college football season is about to get all kinds of intriguing. Maybe even surpass the wildness in 2007.
“This thing isn’t done yet,” said LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson. “Stay tuned, man.”
Another key upset, another move toward the unthinkable: a team from one of the non-automatic qualifying conferences playing in the BCS National Championship Game. For those who think they’ve got it figured out, we give you defending national champion Alabama.
The latest BCS standings had the Tide primed to win out and defend their national championship. Now, barring a collapse from Auburn, they won’t even play for the SEC championship after a 24-21 loss at LSU.
