Miss. voter turnout exceeds last gov’s election
Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann says more Mississippians voted in Tuesday’s congressional races than in the 2007 governor’s election.
That’s unusual because the strongest voter turnout is typically for presidential or gubernatorial races.
Unofficial results gathered by The Associated Press show at least 757,528 ballots were cast Tuesday in the four U.S. House races. That number could change as affidavit votes are counted before final numbers are certified.
