Alabama means something to LSU
LSU does not even play its former state rival Tulane annually any longer after that series lost most of its luster since the Green Wave won three of four from 1979-82, but none since and usually finds itself in a yearly rebuilding plan.
The Ole Miss rivalry was meaningful in the 1950s and ’60s, but for the most part since then it has not been the same as the Rebels only sporadically compete in the Southeastern Conference West and have never made the SEC Championship Game.
