The Gamecocks stunned the Rebels in two overtimes on Sept. 4, a loss some said was the worst in the program’s history. So when the Ragin’ Cajuns of the Sun Belt Conference come to town for Saturday’s 6 p.m. game, the Gamecocks of the Ohio Valley Conference may have squeezed all the naivete out of the Rebels two months earlier.

“From here on out, we’re just looking at everybody the same,” said Ole Miss senior defensive end LaMark Armour.

At 3-5, the Rebels can hardly afford to take anything lightly. But if one foe were to inspire a lackadaisical effort among UM’s final four opponents, it would be Saturday’s.
