That would be two teams not ranked in the first preseason polls, programs from major conferences largely ignored for a generation because of their inability to sustain any level of success against the nationally elite. But MSU and Mizzou have emerged as the wild-card possibilities that BCS haters openly pray might expose the flaws in an unholy system by creating a championship game without recognizable national brands.
They will scream that it’s yet another reason this alliance should crumble in favor of a playoff.
