But really, a message circulated to the student body by the University itself, that they should all come hear a speech from Clinton about the importance of voting? Really? Four weeks before a hotly contested congressional race in which, oh, by the way, the incumbent Member of Congress, Travis Childers, was endorsed by Clinton?
And, of course, it wasn’t conservative voters or Republican voters that Clinton was schooling about the importance of voting. In fact, Clinton is reported by the Associated Press to have said that if students vote for a Republican they will have committed “malpractice”.
Malpractice, alright, but it’s been committed by the administration at Ole Miss, which has either willfully taken sides in a partisan campaign event just before an election, or was duped into doing so.
Either way, I suspect there will be some explaining to do on November 3 if a new congressman is elected the day before.
