Free Balls Bounce Cardinals’ Way Against Saints

Hall, an undrafted rookie from Brigham Young, completed 17 of 27 passes for 168 yards on Sunday, and Jay Feely kicked three field goals as the Cardinals upset the visiting Saints, 30-20.

Hall threw an interception that led to an early Saints field goal and also fumbled twice, but both of those plays turned out to be key ones for Arizona (3-2). The first fumble was returned 2 yards by tackle Levi Brown for a touchdown, and guard Alan Faneca pounced on the second for a 10-yard gain.

New Orleans (3-2) outgained the Cardinals, 373-194, but its red zone problems continued: the Saints made four trips inside the 20 but produced only one touchdown and two field goals.
