Trap game for Bama?

Trap game for Bama?

Two years ago, Texas rallied to beat Oklahoma to start a four-game stretch, then came back home to pummel Missouri and get a fourth quarter stand to beat Oklahoma State. A week later, with Texas Tech taking advantage of mismatches in the passing game (remember this) and capitalizing on Texas’ mistakes, the biggest upset of the season happened.

Now here we are with Alabama looking ahead to Saturday’s game in Columbia against a South Carolina team that has the athletes on defense to give the Tide problems (see: 2009 in Tuscaloosa), and enough advantages in the passing game to exploit the Tide’s one weakness (the secondary). Florida couldn’t move the ball on Alabama because the Gators insisted on running the option play with quarterback John Brantley—which is like Alabama running option with McElroy—and couldn’t throw off play action because of it.
