Fletcher Cox, MSU defense ready for fast-paced Houston

Cox, defense ready for fast-paced Houston

— Defensive tackle Fletcher Cox says he’s ready to go and is expected to start against Houston on Saturday, echoing coach Dan Mullen’s comments from Tuesday.
“I’ve been practicing full go,” Cox said. “I was full go yesterday. I’m good to go.”

— How fast is Houston’s hurry-up, no-huddle offense? Well, sophomore cornerback Corey Broomfield had an interesting comparison for the Cougars.
“It’s like those Arkansas teams — Nolan Richardson, just getting up and down the court. They do the same with the football with all those screens and draws, and [running] backs coming out, linemen running all the way out. It’s crazy.”
