Steve Spurrier’s Thoughts: “Is the SEC West Better Than the East?”

“No question, the West appears better than the East, right now,” Spurrier said. The Gamecocks have notched a win over their sole SEC East opponent, Georgia, but lost two weeks ago to Auburn on the road, an SEC West team. “I think we have to wait until it’s all over with. Obviously, Arkansas and Mississippi State have gotten a lot better.”

“The West has played better than the East, thus far,” Spurrier said. Currently, Auburn and Alabama are the remaining undefeated teams in the Southeastern Conference.
