When Ole Miss sophomore fullback H.R. Greer scored his first college touchdown in Saturday’s 42-35 victory over Kentucky, catching an 8-yard pass from Jeremiah Masoli, it didn’t seem to be anything more than a game-tying score.

“It had been high school since I’ve gotten to do that,” said Greer, a former Southern Baptist Educational Center star who has caught five passes this season. “It was real nice.”

But in the middle of the cheering masses in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, Greer’s mother Faith was beaming.
