UF sets sights on SEC schedule
“It’s SEC time,” Florida coach Urban Meyer said Saturday.
The Gators opened the season with a lackluster 34-12 win over Miami (Ohio) last week, then followed that up by starting slowly on offense Saturday before pulling away from South Florida for a 38-14 win at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
“It’s a confidence booster,” Florida quarterback John Brantley said of Saturday’s victory that extended the Gators’ home winning streak to 13 games. “We need that. We’re about to start SEC ball. Everyone knows it’s very tough football, especially up in Rocky Top.
