For Mississippi State’s Mullen . . . decisions, decisions
Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen used his Thursday night radio show to announce that junior quarterback Chris Relf would start in Saturday night’s opening game against the Memphis Tigers.
Mullen, however, has been keeping his options open at that position, among others, and redshirt freshman Tyler Russell is also expected to play against the Tigers on Saturday night at MSU’s Scott Field. Dylan Favre is also taking snaps for the Bulldogs in practice.
“We’ve been ready to get going,” Mullen said. “It seems like we’ve been on the (practice) field for a long time. We’re ready to get out there and hit somebody else.”
