The Golden Eagles step on the big stage at 6:30 tonight when they take on South Carolina in what is the marquee game on ESPN for the opening night of the major college football season.

Several Eagles have told stories this month of how they’ve envisioned what will take place tonight.

“In the mock scrimmage, I picked up a fumble and I took it back,” defensive tackle Anthony Gray said. “I was thinking last night that it would be amazing if I could do that in the game.
