Urban Meyer is eating right and exercising, but he will work just as much during game-week
GAINESVILLE — Following a health scare in December, Gators coach Urban Meyer made some changes in his life.
He took a leave of absence as head coach that lasted more than three months, in which he rarely worked and spent most of his time with his family. He traveled significantly less on recruiting trips, instead delegating to his assistants. And he pledged to change his lifestyle by exercising more, eating better and attempting to better handle the stress of his taxing job.
When he came back to coaching, he vowed to work out every day at noon and eat several meals per day. He turns off his Blackberry when he goes to sleep or attends church or dinner with his family, getting away from work.
