Saban: Scouts can return after preseason
Saban, who wants more help from the NFL in policing unscrupulous agents, said Alabama will provide a schedule to NFL scouts after Aug. 25 and that the sweltering August heat was also one of the reasons he wasn’t allowing scouts in to watch his players practice.
“I don’t think it’s fair to our players for people to come in and evaluate our players when its 110 degrees outside,” said Saban, who wants to see the NFL, NFLPA, agents and college administrators work together to come up with a better solution to the problem of agents dealing improperly with players and jeopardizing their college eligibility.
Saban added: “All we want is the opportunity, so that it doesn’t have to happen on a street corner.”
