Schools find football programs spur buzz, campus growth

Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Ky., is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics with an enrollment of 1,846. The University of South Alabama belongs to the National Collegiate Athletic Association and has 14,757 students.
While they spin in very different orbits, the institutions have a common trait — both will join the ranks of intercollegiate football this season.
Lindsey Wilson and USA are among at least 26 schools adding football between 2009 and 2013.
