Saban reportedly closes Tide practice to scouts
A longtime NFL scout confirmed the ban to the Tuscaloosa News. “Alabama is keeping guys out for the time being, but, as I understand it, that will be lifted at a certain point,” the scout told the paper. “It also looks like Florida is doing the same thing.”
SN contributor Mike Florio reported on ProFootballTalk.com Tuesday that Saban had advised NFL teams that their scouts would not be welcome at practice until further notice. Practice might be reopened to scouts at some point, with August 18 being a possible date.
