Former Nutt recruit Hornsby pleads guilty
Talk about perfect timing. With the world criticizing Houston Nutt for his decision to accept Jeremiah Masoli into his Rebel fold, Jamar Hornsby — last year’s “thug” recruit — is back in the news today.
Hornsby and two others have pleaded guilty to misdemeanor simple assualt in a 2009 attack on a man in the parking lot of a Starkville McDonald’s. You might remember that Hornsby had initially been charged with felony aggravated assault. That arrest prevented the Nutt signee from ever joining the Ole Miss football team.
