Southern Miss’ Davis healthy and expecting big things this season
“I’m 100 percent ready to go and can’t wait for fall practice to start,” Davis said at the Conference USA Media Day. “I’ve been running with the team, working with the team, and hopefully I can pick up right where I left off or even be better. I think it’s possible, I really do.”
When the 2009 season ended abruptly for Davis, the Meridian native was headed toward another record-breaking year. He set 15 school records as a redshirt freshmen when he threw for 3,128 yards and 23 touchdowns. Last fall, he had 1,165 yards and 10 TDs before suffering the injury.
