Taylor Has Strong Fundraising Quarter
Although not as impressive as many long-term incumbents, Rep. Gene Taylor boosted his fundraising performance over the second quarter period that ran from April 1- June 30. Because of the primaries on June 1, reports were actually split into two separate reports but they totaled a little more than $176,000- this includes $157,00 over the last six week period.
Taylor had a rather light quarter spending wise, and now has around $351,000 cash on hand- which will surely put him well ahead of Steven Palazzo when his numbers are released. Taylor rebounded significantly from Q1 when he raised less than $40,000 but as we have talked about before Taylor’s numbers have generally bounced around but he typically ends up with more than enough at the end.
