Second-year coach Dan Mullen has Bulldogs on the rise
Mississippi State could make a move this year simply because Mullen has had a year under his belt. In 2005, Florida also struggled offensively at times before taking off the following year, winning the national title in ’06.
“When you step out there, everything’s not new the second time,” Mullen said. “A lot of the preseason conditioning, a lot of the training. The older guys know what to expect. They know what we expect on the practice field. It’s much easier to improve because not everybody’s guessing or trying to figure out what’s happening.”
No one was sure how Mullen would handle being a head coach the first time. What has he learned in the last year?
