Marcy Pays Visit To Thompson’s Speech In Greenwood

The Republican running in the Second District hoping to knock off Bennie Thompson paid the Congressman a visit when he was in Greenwood speaking at the Voters League last night. Bill Marcy, and his campaign RV, showed up for what Thompson said was supposed to be a legislative update, but by reading press reports the exchange got pretty interesting.

– Thompson defended his vote for the healthcare legislation saying we are the only democracy in the world that doesn’t offer free healthcare and added: “Why in the world wouldn’t a Christian want to provide health care to other citizens?”
