Arkansas has been able to branch out in its recruiting under Bobby Petrino, which is a must if you’re going to compete in the Western Division.
There simply aren’t enough SEC-caliber football players in the state of Arkansas alone to successfully knock heads with Alabama, Auburn and LSU. But when those guys do emerge in-state, you better get them.
Petrino and the Hogs are doing just that as they’re now at 11 commitments and counting for the 2011 class. The latest addition earlier this week was offensive tackle Brey Cook of Springdale, Ark. He’s rated by ESPN as the No. 7 offensive tackle prospect nationally and is an ESPNU 150 member.
