Texas made ‘a cowardly move’ by staying in Big 12

Based on all the criteria, they should have. The academic institutions are better; the competition is better; the scenery is better. I know there’s nobody in the state of Texas saying, “Oh boy, I can’t wait to go up to Ames, Iowa and go into that lovely Iowa State campus when I got an opportunity to go to Stanford, to Berkeley, to UCLA, to California.” Are you kidding me? Those places, if you’ve ever been, those are some of the most fun places in the country, to go to. Now, the environment might not be as good as Southern football but just in terms of cities to go to and have a good time in…let’s be honest, there’s a lot of people I know that are Texas fans that are upset they’re not getting to take those trips and lots of people from Texas have emailed and said, “I wish we were in the SEC because I think we culturally fit with those teams better. We care about football as much as y’all care about football.”
