2010 SEC Football Predictions

5. Mississippi State Bulldogs – The Bulldogs went just 3-5 in conference play in 2010, but really ended the season on a positive note beating instate rival Mississippi to finish up the season. The Bulldogs have 14 starters back, and while I don’t think this team improves much record wise, I think they will be much more competitive in 2010. I have them once again beating the Rebels to keep out of the basement in the West.

6. Mississippi Rebels – The Rebels went an impressive 5-3 in conference play last season, but lose starting quarterback Jevan Snead. With only four starters back on offense, and the amount of good defenses in this conference, I think the Rebels fall back in 2010. I think they grab two early wins with their first two conference games coming at home against Kentucky and Vanderbilt, but I don’t have them winning another conference game the rest of the way.
