Coaching salaries concern Pastides
DESTIN, Fla. | The SEC will announce a pronounced spike in revenues today — an expected $17 million payout to each of its 12 schools.
The increase from $11.1 million last year is the product of the conference’s $3 billion, 15-year TV contracts with CBS and ESPN that began in August.
Even so, South Carolina president Harris Pastides said he is concerned about the cost of doing business in the SEC, particularly when it comes to paying assistant football coaches.
