Coach Houston Nutt may be one of the best in college football at getting the most out of his backs (see Darren McFadden and Felix Jones at Arkansas, along with McCluster at Ole Miss), and he’s always liked Scott.
Originally an Auburn commitment, Scott changed directions as a Dixie County High School senior when coach Tommy Tuberville was fired. Scott’s dream school, Florida, was interested but liked Pensacola’s Trent Richardson (who ended up at Alabama) a little better and never offered Scott a scholarship.
