State Farm to seek rate hike in Miss.
State Farm officials plan to seek a rate increase this year in at least some parts of Mississippi, company representatives said Monday.
In a meeting with The Clarion-Ledger editorial board, company officials said they plan to file the proposed increase with state Insurance Commissioner Mike Chaney’s office within the next couple of months.
No details have been set regarding the possible increase, company spokesman David Majors said.
Chaney said he wasn’t aware of State Farm’s plans.
