Wednesday Election Notebook

MS-01: Independent candidate Les Green, as shown above at the A’Fair in Desoto County, has been making the rounds in the First since announcing his candidacy a couple months ago. We all know what types of challenges third party candidates face, but he seems to have a better organization than most running without an R or D next to their name.

MS-01: The Daily Journal covered the GOP’s event in Houston last night where all three candidates spoke for about 10 minutes each. State GOP Chairman Brad White was there and reminded the audience that the lack of unity in 2008 helped Travis Childers win the special election.

MS-01: As I noted last week, the Mississippi Democrats took their first shots at Henry Ross last week on their blog. Ross fired back with this email saying “I’m guilty of fighting for conservative principles.”

MS-01: Don’t know if this means anything, but the Democrats didn’t take the time to comment on Angela McGlowan’s piece in the Daily Journal. They have yet to attack her on the blog (the only GOP candidate in the First they have avoided so far).
