Palazzo wants to unseat Taylor to battle Pelosi
LAUREL — State Rep. Steven Palazzo (R-Biloxi) said his campaign for the 4th Congressional District seat currently held by Gene Taylor can be summed up in two words, “Fire Pelosi.”
“Our current Congressman has voted for Nancy Pelosi twice,” he said. “I will never put politics above Southern Mississippi families and their values. Americans can’t afford Pelosi and Barack Obama for much longer.”
A military veteran, Palazzo said he is “willing to fight” for Southern Mississippi and against the national health care reform known as Obamacare.
“Our current Congressman voted to bring the bill out of committee, voted against a Republican (version of the bill) and against returning it back to committee,” he said. “He voted for Nancy Pelosi who set the legislative agenda and has taken the country on the course it’s on.”
