Sam Hall continues to twist Bryant’s words
What I don’t understand is why he has to lie about things (i.e. you can’t smell oil on the coast when you can) or why he continues this Nothing To See Here routine.
Here’s his latest lie, via gulflive.com:
“We don’t want people to panic, and we don’t want people to cancel their reservations and their hotel rooms,” he said. “Don’t leave us. I can assure you, you won’t know this oil spill is occurring.“
I added the emphasis to highlight what is clearly a ridiculous statement. Of course we’ll know the oil spill is happening, and we shouldn’t ignore it.
At the same time, people should still come to the coast. The weather’s nice, the casinos are open, the restaurants are serving good food, the hotels are bustling, the shops are still selling their wares and the golf courses are great.
